AI virtual staging: show a room’s potential from a photo

Virtual staging adds a digital furnishing concept to a room photograph. It can explain an empty space or show alternative furniture. The result is a proposal, not the property’s current condition. Keep the original photo available and label the image as an AI visualization. It communicates an idea without guaranteeing more enquiries, a higher price or a faster sale.
Choose what the concept should explain
Show a simple furniture group: a bed and storage for a bedroom, or seating and a table for a living area. Restrained pieces keep the room visible. Relate the style to its existing floor, joinery and light rather than implying a full renovation.
For a furnished room, Roomlyo proposes a new arrangement with replacement furniture. It is not a mode for retaining individual existing pieces. Explain the change in the caption. If the illustrated furnishings are not included in the property offering, identify them as an example. A viewer should be able to distinguish existing features from proposed additions without having to guess.
Preserve the property’s real features
Ask the model to keep windows, doors, flooring, fixed fittings and the camera perspective. Check each of those features afterwards: including a request does not guarantee a faithful output. Reject images that enlarge the room, remove sloping ceilings or introduce a balcony. Do not use staging to conceal damage, visible damp or other relevant aspects of the property.
Furniture can also distort the impression of space if the model draws it at an implausible scale. Compare it with doors and existing fixtures. If you want to show a proposed renovation, explain the changes and present it as a separately labelled concept. It should not stand in for a photograph of the current condition.
Share the image with clear context
Place the original photo from the same viewpoint beside the concept. Add a nearby caption such as “AI visualization — example furnishing, not the current room setup”. Adjust the wording to describe what was actually changed. If people may encounter the image away from your page, add a visible label to the image itself before publication.
Keep the original and chosen result together with a room description. Select the version that explains the intended use and retains visible features. Accuracy matters more than polish.
How to prepare your photo
- Use your own photograph or an image you have permission to use. Show the floor, walls, windows and entrances without filters or a distorting panorama.
- Remove private documents and distracting loose objects from the frame. Do not retouch defects: preparation should improve clarity rather than change the apparent condition.
- Sign in, upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB and choose the relevant room type. Select empty or furnished, choose a style and keep additional instructions within 800 characters.

Create a furnishing concept for this empty living room. Keep the existing walls, windows, doors, floor and photo perspective. Add a neutral sofa, wooden coffee table, modest rug and restrained decorations. Show a clear seating area and leave access routes open. Do not replace finishes, remove fixed elements or add a new view or openings in the walls.
What to check in the visualization
- Compare the original and concept for architecture, finishes, the view through the window and visible physical features of the room.
- Check furniture scale and access to doors, windows and fitted storage. Reject implausible furniture and images with unrealistically generous free space.
- Before publication, add an unambiguous AI visualization label. Make the original photograph and an accurate description of the current room easy to find.
